Honda Pilot is one of the vehicles that certainly bring in large number of buyers for this car company. Because of this expectations for 2015 Honda Pilot are high and the redesigned looks that it will bring will have to offer additional improvements.
It is expected that the new, redesigned, model will be offered during the summer or at one of the major car shows that will be held in 2014. With significant changes to the exterior new Pilot will be interesting to even larger number of drivers.
When it comes to size and design it is expected that this car will remain in the mid to large size segment of SUV’s and that it will allow transportation of up to eight passengers in its three row setup. From few sources we have received info that the exterior will not be boxy like with current version and that it will be offered with much better looks.
Redesigned 2015 Pilot
It is important that both exterior and interior offer more modern design since the competition is strong and will certainly try to take over top spots. Interior will be equipped with higher level of luxury accents while the materials used will be of better quality. Technology features will be also impressive and standard equipment list should satisfy many buyers.
At this moment we know that the new 2015 Honda Pilot will be delivered with 3.5 liter V6 unit that produces 310 hp and 265 lb-ft of torque. It would be nice to see hybrid model that should offer significantly better fuel economy. If hybrid is not delivered the 3.5 liter unit promises improvements on the fuel economy segment while the weight reduction that we expect will also bring improvements to these numbers and handling also.
2015 Honda Pilot Release Date
One of the things that we know almost for sure is the price of new Pilot. According to reports we have entry level model will start from $ 30.800 while the Touring model will be priced at $ 41.500. Just as expected there will be no major changes in this segment.
Main competition to the 2015 Honda Pilot when it comes to the market will be Ford Explorer and Toyota Highlander. Both are quite good vehicles but previous models of Pilot managed to attract more buyers so it will be interesting to see how does the new model stack against competitors.
