After a recently redesigned model of CR-V was delivered there are no reasons for the Japanese car maker to bring significant changes to the 2015 Honda CR-V. With great sale results we are pretty sure that 2015 model will remain pretty much the same and this should allow it to again sit on top of the SUV market like in past few years.
Great features that are delivered in one pack like the low ownership costs, reliability, comfort, practicality, usability and fuel economy are the best recommendation for vehicle like this. This comes as one of the ideal choices for buyers that are looking for a reliable family vehicle with some really nice features.
2015 Honda CR-V Release Date
At this moment we still do not have officially announced release date for this vehicle but since it will not offer many changes over currently available model we do expect it to be presented during the summer or fall of 2014th while the sales should start before the end of the same year.
Only one engine is delivered with the 2015 Honda CR-V and it will be the same 2.4 liter four cylinder inline unit that delivers total power of 185 hp and 163 pound feet of torque. This is a decent setup but changes like hybrid and more powerful V6 unit would be welcomed in this lineup. Power is transferred through a five speed automatic transmission and with few more gears even better fuel economy could be achieved.
Acceleration from 0 to 60 mph is done in 9.4 seconds and buyers have the option to choose from front or all wheel drive models. According to EPA tests this vehicle will return 23/31/26 mpg in city/highway/combined drive cycle for front wheel drive version while the all wheel drive model offers 1 mpg less in each of those categories.
Just like for 2014th we will be getting three trim levels in which the 2015 Honda CR-V will be available. As a standard for the LX trim we are getting 16 inch steel wheels, keyless entry, rearview camera, four speaker sound system, height adjustable drivers seat, tilt and telescoping steering wheel, 60/40 split fold seat and similar.
The EX trim comes with 17 inch alloy wheels, foglights, sunroof, door handles and mirrors in color of body, six speaker sound system, rear privacy glass and few other features. For the top EX-L trim level we have heated mirrors, automatic headlights, dual zone automatic climate control, leather wrapped steering wheel, leather upholstery, heated front seats and more. For the EX-L model buyer is able to choose from rear seat entertainment system or navigation system that comes with touchscreen real time traffic and voice controls.
Price Of 2015 CR-V
Base model should be priced at similar level like the previous year vehicle so we do expect to see similar price tag to $23,625 which was the base price. For better equipped and higher trim level models we will see price tag of up to $ 30.000.
Interior is one of the segments where we would like to see improvements for both 2015 Honda CR-V and future models. Main competitors like Santa Fe, CX-5, Escape and Equinox come with higher quality materials and design that is modern and more interesting.
