The 2015 Chevrolet Impala is set to be released on the market in the mid of 2015 at a base price of just over 27.000 dollars, making it only slightly more expensive than the current model. We do know that 2014th model brought better materials on the interior, improved engines as well as a redesigned exterior so the price increase is something that we do not like because 2015th model will be mostly a carryover but have in mind that it is only few hundreds of dollars.
With the delivery of 2014th model Chevrolet managed to replace Impala that was previously available with a car that offers a greater level of comfort and performance at the same price. Also, the chassis received needed redesign by the release of this model. All these improvements are offered with 2015 Chevrolet Impala but do not expect any further revolutionary changes.
There are two engines that will come in the next Impala, starting with the 2.5 liter petrol unit that offers 195 horsepower and 187 lb-ft of torque. This will give you an estimated fuel economy of around 22 MPG in the city and 29 MPG on the highway. Second option is more powerful and this unit that will be offered in the new Impala is the 3.6 liter V6 with 305 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque. This one is also returns lower fuel economy, capable of offering only 19 MPG in the city and 28 MPG on the highway.
2015 Chevrolet Impala Review
Previously we were also able to choose the 2.4 liter petrol engine that gets the eAssist transmission. This had a small electric motor and generator that helped with the city driving. It offered 182 horsepower and 172 lb-ft of torque and it comes with fuel economy of just over 35 MPG on the highway and as low as 26 MPG in the city. This system will not be available any more since it is complicated and far more expensive than the intelligent start/stop system it will be replaced with.
Unfortunately, this car is still front wheel drive which means it will still suffer from torque steer and poor driving characteristics but this is something we expected to see. On the plus side, the transmission has been improved. Both 2.5 and the V6 now come with the same 6 speed automatic that is a bit smoother and also faster than the previous generation.
The interior of the car will offer the same level of comfort and equipment as the previous generation. This means that even the lowest end models will get climate control, electric seats and an MP3 player with Bluetooth and iPod connectivity. The higher end models will get satellite navigation, dual zone climate control and leather upholstery as standard. It comes with pretty much all the most important features that you could ever want in your car.

Much larger 20 inch rims will also be available as a paid option for the V6. Same like previous year, all of the models now come with slimmer headlights that include Xenon as well as LED technology. All this comes at the base price of slightly more than $28,000 as we mentioned before.
