On top of everything there is a high performance V12 6.0 liter engine that comes in S65 AMG version and it is able to produce 621 horsepower and 738 pound feet of torque.
Another quite interesting option for those drivers that are looking for way to reduce pollution of their cars is the plug-in hybrid version. The S500 plug-in hybrid version of 2016 Mercedes S Class comes with total system power output of 436 hp and 479 lb-ft of torque thankfully to the combination of 3.0 liter V6 gasoline unit and electric motor. There are no compromises with this vehicle since it will be able to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in about 5.2 seconds and allow you to drive in Hybrid, E-Move, Save and Charge mode.
This is a very expensive car and most of the 2016 Mercedes S Class can’t be bought for less than $100,000. Only the base version S Class comes with $95,000 MSRP and for 4Matic model that comes with 4 wheel drive buyers will need to add another $3,000. Coupe version will set you back for about $120,000 in base version. Top of the line S65 AMG costs staggering $222,000 while the coupe version of this model costs even more at about $231,000. As we said, really expensive but have in mind that you are getting greatest level of luxury in combination with almost supercar performances.
