The new 2015 Toyota RAV4 is the fourth generation vehicle and will be put on sale in the end of 2014. Even without many changes in its design it brings something new to one of the best SUV crossover vehicle segment. The biggest changes are made in interior making it more spacious and comfortable for all five passengers.
More space in cabin has been achieved by setting thinner seats and more wheels distance. The car will have five doors, standard fog lights, cargo lift gate, creased bodywork and 17 inches wheels. Don’t be taken in by its appearance because it looks small on the outside but it is actually capable of carrying about 73.4 cu.ft of cargo with possibility to fold rear-seats, making this car roomier than any of its predecessors. Little changes are made in its design but now it can be found in a few brad new colors: grey-blue metallic, dark green and black metallic.
2015 Toyota RAV4 Review
The interior will be covered with leather upholstery and decorated with French-stitch seam on seats and panel. Also you can count on interior features such as Bluetooth phone connectivity, satellite radio, six speakers sound system, rear view camera, iPod, USB connectivity, hands free, airbags, front seats heating and similar. Unfortunately, some of these features will be provided only in Limited series of RAV4.
Depending on which trim level you have chosen, LE, XLE or Limited, you can expect its dashboard to include 6.1 inch LCD touchscreen for climate, audio, navigation and other system controls. The only thing to criticize may be the dashboard made of plastic and this is a segment where 2015 Toyota RAV4 could be further improved.
Compared with its predecessor of third generation it will be made only with four cylinder petrol engine mated with a six-speed automatic transmission with an addition of manual gear control. Delivering 176 horse power engine with 2.5l capacity is expected to produce 172lb-ft of torque. The fuel economy of this engine is estimated to be 22 mpg city drive and 29 mpg highway drive. Made with the standard front-wheel drive while the all-wheel drive will be optional.
