When it comes to Nissan, Nismo has the special place and this branch of the company is responsible of tuned up models and delivery of vehicles with improved performances. Latest model that has been presented is the 2015 Nissan Juke Nismo RS that we were able to see on the Geneva Auto Show presented beside the standard version.
Since this is the sportier version of a standard vehicle we will start with performance parts and upgrades that we are getting here. Well known 1.6 liter turbocharged four cylinder DIG-T unit is again available here but this time instead of 200 hp it delivers 218 hp thankfully to special tuning and few changes. When it comes to torque, this segment has been also improved and now instead of 250 NM we are getting 280 NM while all this is combined with manual transmission that sends power to front wheels through a mechanical Limited Slip Differential.
Even better acceleration is achievable with the four wheel drive version that comes with Torque Vectoring. Combining 250 NM of torque and Nissan’s Xtronic transmission we are getting fantastic results. This gearbox brings eight speed manual control transmission that is controlled with paddle shifters located behind the wheel. T\Larger diameter exhaust proves that this is a sportier model giving it improved engine sound.
Review Of 2015 Nissan Juke Nismo RS
All this power that the 2015 Nissan Juke Nismo RS brings needs to be controlled and tamed. To provide adequate fatigue and fade free stopping we are getting 320 mm front discs instead of 296 mm units while on the back we have ventilated instead of solid discs. This way you can be sure that you will have all the stopping power that you need even when you push this vehicle. Improved suspension and stronger chassis are the guarantee that this car comes with great and precise handling.
There aren’t many things that will distinguish RS model from a standard version, at least until we take a closer look. The RS badges and logos appear on few parts and we can notice quite discrete RS badges on both front and rear end while the RS logo is visible instrument cluster. This higher trim level comes with Safety Shield that includes Blind Spot Warning, Lane Departure Warning, Object Detection, Xenon headlamps and Nissan around View Monitor.
Things that are also changed affect the aerodynamics that has been further improved for the 2015 Nissan Juke Nismo RS so it would offer better performances. Both front and rear bumpers are lower, sill side skirts, wider wings are added plus the tailgate spoiler for better airflow control. Dark chrome grille at the front is something recognizable and we are sure that this vehicle will be easily noticeable by many drivers. When we add 18 inch wheels on top of all these features we are sure that it will be quite aggressive.
2015 Nissan Juke Nismo RS Release Date
Since there are no many changes with the delivery of the 2015 Nissan Juke Nismo RS we expect to see almost identical price tag like it was with the previous year model. If this happens than the sticker number could be slightly above $26,000. With few extra features this price goes higher pretty fast but we can say that the base model offers a lot. There is no doubt that if you like unique looks that Juke brings this model could be the best choice for you so it is smart to wait few more months for it to be delivered. We do expect to see it during the September of this year.
