Just as always we know that the Infiniti will offer luxurious interior in their QX60 which means that drivers that are looking for a seven-seat crossover vehicle and some extra luxury should have the 2015 Infiniti QX60 on their list of potential buys. Biggest change is the name change we had few years ago when this model received new badge and is called QX60 instead of JX35.
We shall be getting few more slight differences between this model and previously available version but it is nothing significant. Most of these changes are relate to the features and standard equipment that will be offered. Price will be slightly higher than with the 2014th model and we do expect to see it starting from about $ 42,400 and will go significantly higher if additional equipment is added.
Changes For 2015 Infiniti QX60
Among those most important advantages that we are getting here is the fact that there is a great technology pack delivered even in a standard version. Safety is on the highest level and when we add to this the fact that there are seven seats and good looking body it is quite obvious that this could be again great addition to the market but also to the company that could reach great sale results with it.
Under the hood is the 3.5 liter V6 unit that produces 265 hp and 248 pounds-feet of torque allowing decent performances to be achieved. Power is transferred to either front wheels or to all-wheel drive system through a Continuously Variable Transmission allowing it to always stay in the optimal rev range. When the front wheel drive system is used it will be possible to reach 20/26 mpg in city/highway. Those that want all four wheels to be supplied with engine power will average 19/25 mpg in city/highway drive conditions.
2015 Infiniti QX60 Hybrid
Another possibility we could see is the hybrid model again. If this happens we do not expect to see any major changes compared to previous version meaning that it will combine 2.5 liter inline four cylinder engine with electric motor and that the total power of this system should be again about 250 hp. Starting price will be $45,400 while the all-wheel drive version will cost about $ 46,800 which is slightly higher than it was the case with previous year model. EPA results are still not offered but we do expect to see them on the same level like before and it should stay at 26/28 mpg in city/highway.
Interior brings enough space for up to seven people and trunk offers about 15.8 cubic feet of cargo space for all your stuff. This is slightly more trunk space than we are getting in a mid-size vehicle but in case that you need more space you can always fold third row of seats and second row also. Many great features like tri zone automatic climate control, Bluetooth connectivity, USB/iPod port, heated and cooled front seats, heated seconds row seats, heated steering wheel, navigation, remote start, leather trim and much more. With dual screen entertainment system that we have here it is possible to keep your kids occupied while you are driving and it will be much easier for them to travel.
On the outside we are getting one large but attractive model that comes with large and pretty aggressive front end. One of the things that we and many others really liked on the 2015 Infiniti QX60 is the rear, small, window that comes with a curve that follows the line of the back segment. Lines are parallel and quite interesting improving the overall looks of this vehicle. Power rear lift gate and power moon roof are useful features and to further improve safety we are getting automatic bi-xenon HID headlights as a standard option.
We have mentioned safety and that it is on great level in the 2015 Infiniti QX60. Thankfully to technology and features like lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, Backup Collision Intervention system and much more. Overall changes between this and previous year model are only related to few features and it is pretty hard for many to notice those but be sure that we are getting more than before.
