Hyundai delivered the 2015 Hyundai Genesis at the 2014 North American International Auto Show in Detroit. This premium sedan goes into second generation with the introduction of this new model and we do know that the original model managed to attract great reviews.
Compared with the first model this new one comes with even more equipment. New features are delivered in safety segment but also the all wheel drive system that is delivered in one Hyundai for the first time. This system is called HTRAC and will allow this luxury sedan to become even more appealing option for those that live in regions where we have more snow.
2015 Hyundai Genesis Release Date
According to reports it seems that this model will be delivered during the spring of this year and that it will be build in the Ulsan plant located in Korea. With combination of bold design, technology, dynamics we are getting one vehicle that is highly anticipated on the U.S. market.
One of the most important segments of luxury sedans is the interior. Immediately when one sits in this vehicle will notice great design and materials of high quality. It is obvious that Hyundai did its homework about the materials and which goes well with the other. Real aluminum and matte finished wood takes special place in this interior making it much more comfortable and nicer place to be. Heated and ventilated front seats, 12 way power front seats and 4 way lumbar, heated rear seats and similar are standard options on this vehicle.
On the outside we can see design language that is similar to other models in Hyundai lineup but this one comes with significant improvements making it more refined. Premium feel is pushed to the higher level with usage of fluidic elements in combination with simple and harmonious design language. At the front HID lamps, LED indicators, chrome accents and 3D hexagonal grille will attract many looks and attention. Also included are LED fog lights and LED taillamps.
Two engines will be available in 2015 Hyundai Genesis, both are quite powerful and technology rich. Base model comes with a 3.8 liter direct injection Lambda unit that produces 311 hp 6000 rpm and 293 lb-ft of torque at 5000 rpm. More powerful is the 5.0 V8 Tau engine that pumps out 420 hp at 6000 rpm and 383 lb-ft of torque at 5000 rpm. Both of these are paired with Dual Continuously Variable Valve Timing technology for improved performances.

Price of this model has been announced to be quite competitive and when we take a look at what it does offer price under $40.000 for a base model certainly is a great deal. It will be interesting to see how it will cope with powerful competitors.
