While looking at the lineup of Ford we are able to notice that almost every vehicle of this brand comes with quite recognizable grille and front end. But one of the vehicles that did not receive this update is Focus and this is about to be changed with the introduction of the 2015 Ford Focus.
We were able to see this completely redesigned model at the Geneva Motor Show and we are pretty sure that this Aston Martin front grille sibling will attract more attention from potential buyers. With these changes we can say that the Focus is back to the family lineup that previously received similar changes that does remind us on Aston Martin models. Similarities with this supercar manufacturer are nothing bad because many and we are among those, really like the looks that are delivered by this car maker.
Not only that the front grille received new and improved looks. We can notice that there are different headlights that now are restyled and bring the elongated looks. When the new grille and headlights are combined with the fact that those are bi-xenon models we are getting one quite elegant but also aggressive front end. These are main differences comparing 2014 and 2015th models but we can also notice that the rear is almost identical when these two versions are compared, only slight changes are implemented.
Changes For 2015 Ford Focus
Another improvement comes with the 1.5 diesel PowerShift engine that is now about 19 percent more efficient than previous models. With the power delivery of 120 hp it will be enough for most drivers, mainly because of the torque that we are getting from this turbocharged diesel unit. At this moment there are still no official figures about the fuel consumption that this version will return but we do expect to see some quite impressive results. This engine also comes with the 95 hp output but this could be slightly underpowered because of the weight and size of this car.
Other engines that will be delivered with this vehicle include 1.0 liter EcoBoost that produces 100 and 125 hp and more powerful 1.5 liter EcoBoost unit that offers 150 an 180 hp. Those drivers that prefer diesel and want more power can choose the 2.0 liter inline four cylinder TDCi version that pumps out 150 hp.
Interior is another segment where changes were needed for this vehicle to stay competitive. Completely new Sync 2 system comes in this vehicle and this second generation system should increase the usability and connectivity abilities of this vehicle. Many functions are much simpler with the introduction of this new system and we are getting various improvements especially with the navigation.
2015 Ford Focus Release Date
After the official presentation at the Geneva Motor Show it is expected that the 2015 Ford Focus will be available in the next few months. Official release date is still not known and it depends on the market and country to which it is delivered. Because of the higher demand this vehicle will be built in eight factories and Ford announces that it will be able to bring about 1.5 million cars to the market every year.
