For the 2015 Dodge Charger we will be getting decent amount of changes but the source shape should remain pretty much the same. The drive and handling feel should remain almost identical but we certainly do hope to see few improvements in this field also.
Biggest change will be offered under the hood where the Dodge will upgrade standard 6.4 SRT Hemi that will now offer more power. New engine will be the 6.2 liter V8 unit that is sourced from 6.4 liter unit and will pump out from 660 to 680 hp. It will be reserved for higher trim levels and more expensive models.
Recently we were able to see spy photos of the new Charger and Challenger but still with lots of camouflage and we are not getting enough details about what to expect. Images show few nice details and changes that will be offered but we will have to wait little longer for more details to be offered.
Concept Version Of 2015 Dodge Charger
What we do know is that the interior will come with much better quality of used materials while the center console will be dominated with seven inch configurable display. This should be standard on 300 but still on the Charger it will be optional.
Base for the development of the 2015 Dodge Charger and for its further development will be the Chrysler 300C with which it will share platform. This means that it will be quite similar to Maserati Ghibli in this segment. Original Charger and 300C were heavy but safe, with introduction of new model we will be getting lighter base and as a result we will have more fun to drive dynamics.
2015 Dodge Charger Refresh
Suspension tweaks that Maserati will use for its Ghibli will probably find its way to this model also. Double wishbone at the front and improvements to the rear suspension will certainly make this vehicle more usable on the road but also on the track where it will be able to reach better performances than before. Reports suggest that more aluminum will be used and that the similarities will be noticeable with both 300C and Ghibli.
Power should go through an eight speed automatic transmission that will be possible to control with paddle shifters behind the steering wheel. With monster power engine we expect it to be able to compete with heavily modified muscle cars so it will be interesting to see the price of this vehicle. We expect that the price tag will be placed somewhere between $60.000 and $80.000.
