The 2015 Buick Grand National and GNX are the nameplates from the Buick that could be returned to production. These vehicles are delivered to the list of vehicles that are worth waiting for and that could be delivered in the next few years.
This is quite important simple because both of these vehicles offered performances that were better of Corvette when they were launched to the market. Higher numbers and better performances than Corvette at this moment are hard to achieve and we think that it will not happen but we are pretty sure that some serious hardware could be offered under the hoods of these two vehicles.
2015 Buick Grand National Specs
Among those engines that might come in 2015 Buick Grand National we give greatest chances to the 3.6 liter V6 twin turbo engine that will be offered in Cadillac CTS VSport and will latter come in Cadillac ATS-V model. There are reports that this twin turbo unit will pump out 420 hp and a lot of torque thankfully to those turbos.
With these numbers it could be pretty easy to think and imagine the looks of this car. Just like in the old days we would be able to see both Buick GNX and Grand National burning tires all over the place.
To support these claims we could see that the General Motors has applied to renew badges for these two vehicles. We also need to add that it is highly possible that the 2015 Buick Grand National will come with a turbocharged V6 unit like we had with old models.
According to additional reports and analysis the 2015 Buick Grand National could be based on the Alpha architecture that offers great starting point for any rear wheel drive vehicle. We are getting decent weight reduction and fantastic balance. This might not be the best choice for B segment performance vehicles but the Grand National might be a great opportunity for this hardware to be implemented in the lineup.
If this happens than it means that the Alpha platform is used for the Cadillac ATS and for the upcoming 2014 Cadillac CTS. Next generation of Chevrolet Camaro that should be launched in 2015 or 2016 will also use this platform.
2015 Grand National Release Date
Release date is still a topic on which is hard to speculate but there are good chances that we will see this vehicle on auto shows during the next year or similar. Sales could start with 2015 Buick Grand National model but this has to be confirmed yet.
